In celebration of our 10th Anniversary, VicBioCon is holding a logo competition! Over the years, VicBioCon has evolved into a vibrant community of people passionate about biodiversity, and we want our logo to reflect that, with a design from a member of the VicBioCon community!
From now until the 15th of September, you can enter the VicBioCon Logo Competition by emailing your designs and a short description to vicbiocon@gmail.com.
The winner will be chosen by the VicBioCon committee, and will receive free tickets to our two conference days and our networking event! We’ll work with the competition winner to adapt (and if needed, digitise) their design to be showcased across all VicBioCon branding.
Check out the terms & conditions below to make sure your design is considered!
Number of entries: 1-3 designs may be submitted per person
Design: When designing your logo, think about how it reflects VicBioCon as a scientific conference focused on highlighting biodiversity-related research and management projects based in the state of Victoria, Australia. Try to design a logo that is clearly visible at small and large sizes, and that works in both colour and greyscale.
Description: Please include a short description of your design, the intention behind it, and how it reflects the Victorian Biodiversity Conference (if your design includes a species of organism, it must be endemic to Victoria OR iconic in Victoria).
Format: Design must fit within a square and/or circle frame (the VicBioCon logo is used in both square and circular formats - we’ll work with the winner to make sure it fits both)
Originality: The design must be your own work, without the use of generative AI or another individual designing the logo on your behalf, either in part or in whole. It must not resemble the logos of other organisations.
Copyright and use: entrants agree to license and grant Victorian Biodiversity Conference a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display all or part of their entry for promotion of Victorian Biodiversity Conference should it be selected as the winning design, without compensation, restriction on use, or liability. Entrants agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use and warrant that they have full authority to grant these rights.
Entry into this competition is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.
