Call for abstracts
Abstract submissions are open until 11.59pm Sunday 28th November 2021. Please use the form below to submit your abstract. All authors will be notified of the outcome of their submission by Monday 6th December 2021. Registration and tickets will be made available in the first week of December 2021.
Who can apply: We invite all graduate and early career researchers undertaking research relevant to biodiversity at a Victorian institution to submit an abstract. We also invite young industry professionals based in Victoria (less than 10 years experience) to submit an abstract.
Conference format: The 2022 conference will be held in accordance with all COVID-19 public health measures. Due to the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, the 2022 conference may be moved online. But don't despair! If it is necessary to shift to an online event, we will endeavour to give our presenters as much notice as possible.
Presentation types: Will include 10-minute talks, 5-minute speed talks and poster presentations. Projects with clear results and/or outcomes will be given preference for 10-minute talks. We encourage projects without results to be submitted for 5-minute speed talks or poster presentations.
The conference is deliberately broad and encourages a variety of talks across terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments, related to both local and international issues.
